Now in its eleventh iteration, the 2025 AACR Special Conference on the Advances in Pancreatic Cancer Research—Emerging Science Driving Transformative Solutions, continues its legacy as the premier forum for the presentation of cutting-edge research in the biology, detection, treatment, and prevention of pancreatic cancer. With pancreatic cancer ranking as the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States and a five-year survival rate of just 13%, this malignancy remains one of the most urgent challenges in oncology. In response to the rapid pace of scientific discovery and increasing demand for collaboration, the AACR transitioned this conference from a biennial to an annual event in 2019. The 2023 meeting set a record with 745 attendees and 376 abstract submissions, and strong momentum continued into 2024 with another high-impact program featuring robust scientific dialogue and participation from global leaders across disciplines.

The 2025 program, developed by a distinguished panel of cochairs, reflects the full continuum of basic, translational, and clinical research. Key topics include tumor evolution, therapeutic resistance, the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, cancer metabolism, and emerging immunotherapy strategies. Scientific sessions are complemented by career development opportunities, mentoring roundtables, and targeted discussions addressing current controversies and knowledge gaps. With 450–500 participants expected annually from around the globe, this conference provides an essential platform for interdisciplinary learning, professional growth, and the translation of discovery into improved outcomes for patients with pancreatic cancer.
